Gite du Galabertes

Ancienne magnanerie fortifiée, notre ferme est en pleine nature, loin de tout site urbanisé avec vue panoramique.
Le gardon de Saint Martin traverse le Galabertès. Ecrevisses, truites et castors y trouvent un habitat favorable, et des circaètes Jean le Blanc nous rendent visite d’avril à octobre. Nos chèvres sont en liberté sous les chênes verts et les châtaigniers des versants qui nous entourent.
Au printemps, vous pourrez apprendre à reconnaître les plantes sauvages et à cuisiner celles comestibles.
En été, vous apprécierez les baignades dans les gardons (rivières) sauvages et préservés.
A l’automne cèpes et châtaignes vous régaleront. Si vous êtes amateurs du brame du cerf vous pourrez l’écouter et le voir à la nuit tombée dans la forêt domaniale de Fontmort du 15 septembre au 15 octobre.

The river Gardon of Saint Martin crosses the Galabertès. Crayfishes, trouts and beavers find there a propitious habitat, and Short-toed eagle visit us from April to October. Our goats are free under the holm oaks and the chestnuts of the slopes which surround us.

During the spring, you will be able to learn how to recognize the wild plants and cook those edible.

In the summer, you will appreciate the bathes in the gardons (rivers) wild and preserved.

With the autumn, you will feast on boletus and sweet chestnuts. If you are lovers of the stags you will be able to listen and see them at the night fallen into the national forest of Fontmort from September 15 to October 15.
